Summer Inshore Action Underway
Capt. Will Tuesday, June 12, 2018
Fishing has been great here at the Crystal Coast and Cape Lookout. Whether you stay in Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, Emerald Isle, Beaufort or Harkers Island, you owe it to yourself to get out here and experience the great summer inshore fishing that's going on right now. Redfish action has been heating up with schools of drum showing up and many of the inshore spots holding fish throughout. Topwater lures and gold spoons have been the ticket for the red drum.
A few schools of chopper bluefish have still been hanging around off the shoals and we even managed to fool a straggling cobia that was following a leatherback turtle as it crossed the shoals itself. With summer storms in the forecast at least half of the days lately, we have managed to get out on the water most days thankfully. Don't be afraid of the forecasts, as they are usually wrong.
Give me a call at 919-218-8451 to book a trip, let's go fishing!
